Background:
Morris James is a multidisciplinary Law Firm located in the heart of Wilmington at 555 Delaware Ave, with three other stately offices in Delaware. The 555 Delaware location is the crown jewel. It is light filled with enormous sweeping views of the city and surrounding suburbs. Designed for style and comfort, the office is contemporary and majestic in scale. The reception floor has an Italian Marble clad staircase that connects the floors above and below. The windows opposite are floor to ceiling, with full height wood paneling walls. A café bar is positioned just opposite one of the main conference rooms. These have half walls to allow maximum light penetration, giving the whole space an air of welcoming openness.

Challenges:
Morris James relocated to the new 555 Delaware Avenue Building in Wilmington after many years in more traditional offices close by. Their art collection had some bright spots and plenty of average work that had been amassed over the years. Our first challenge was to sort out the keepers, and appraise the rest for sale or donation. All of the remaining work was reframed to match the millwork and update it for style to work with the art we were about to purchase.
